“I am told by our surfing guru Bob Freeman, as well as others, that it’s going to be windy, bad waves and bad tide,” Jack Kirschenbaum said. “We want to take every opportunity to get everyone a chance to surf first peak. To do that, we will wait a week.”
And that also means you still have time if you would like to participate in the event, which will take place Friday and Saturday, Sept. 28-29 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
“We are right on,” Kirschenbaum said. “We like to have 50, right now we have 47 with a bunch of pros. But we can always use more.”
To compete, or for more information, contact Kirschenbaum at 321-727-8100.
The party, however, will go on as planned. The Surf Stomp party will still be this Friday at Café Surfinista in Cocoa Beach. There will be dinner and dancing to the Mango Brothers beginning at 6:30 p.m. Pre-registration is not required, but there is a $15 cover at the door. Proceeds go to the Satellite High Surf team.
“A splendid time is guaranteed,” Kirschenbaum said.
